Spiderman 3: Its a thin webbing this one

Everybody has been keying up their spider senses for 3rd part of the spiderman series. It had a lot to do if it had to cross or even equal the 2nd in the series, which is considered as one of the best superhero movies of all time. With three supervillains, director Sam Raimi had a task at hand trying to lend some plot to it.
The first thing you notice about the movie is its intro. It just misses out the comic book intro of the other two that perfectly matched Danny Elfman score. There is no need to tell the plot, anyway simply telling....Peter parker is now engaged to Mary jane watson and his alter ego spiderman is enjoying enormous popularity among the public.Harry Osbourne his best friend still believes that Spidey or Peter Parker killed his father and this belief inspires him to take up his fathers mantle as green goblin.Spidey has also to content with two other villains Sandman alias Flint Marko his uncle's murderer and also The Venom.Leaving out the subplots,Parker has some time to explore his own dark side which wrecks havock with his personal life but gives expansive power to his existing spidey powers.
The star of the movie quiet unlike the other two is the Special FX.The moment of the movie, efx at its peak is without doubt flint marko becoming sandman.J.K.Simmons as J.J is the only saving grace in the acting department perfectly matching the character in that of the comics. The biggest dissappointment of the movie is spidey's greatest menace,Venom.Eddie brock parkers rival, changes too quickly to venom(atleast to spidey fans).Overall, the movie is watchable for special effects. But for any die hard spidey fan, its a big letdown.

Ranking: Watchable.
