Pirates 3: This will go down to Davy Jones locker

The year 2007 has been a year of average trilogy endings and a few good movies for Hollywood. This one has brought down POTC series to a new low. Despite this, the movie is raking in money at phenomenal pace. This movie franchise has been all about one man, Jack Sparrow, the lovable, clever and witty pirate.
Johny Depp plays the protagonist with such flourish that anybody would have thought he was a pirate in his previous life.Geoffery Rush as Barbossa comes a close second to him. But the rest of the cast seems to be lost in the sea. It might be an understatement to say that Depp carries the whole series on his shoulders. But Mr.Gore Verbinsky seems to think otherwise. What we see in Pirates of the Carribbean 3: At World’s End is more of the boring Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Kiera Knightly) and less of Jack sparrow. There are cheers all around when Depp appears and groans can be heard when the other two appears with their romance.
The film seems to be catering more to a good lot of special effects rather than a plot. There is no plot or even a story to tell in this one. Story if any is that of Barbossa,William Turner and company seeking to bring back Jack sparrow from the davy jones locker in order to help them defeat Lord Cutler Beckett’s aim to put an end to the Pirates legacy once and for all.
Seeing the movie was like going through a washing machine and having a really dirty wash. This one is the longest of the series and arduous of them all. Jack Sparrow wisecracking to his other selves presents the best moments of the movie. Special effects is absolutely stunning. Especially the climactic battle was breathtaking. Overall, a movie for a one time view ( for Johny depp).

Ranking: Watchable.

Over and Out

We stepped in to the last semester and there was a ton in store for us. Everyone was finding an organization for doing the final academic project. We three invaded Cochin and went to different companies and at last we got it. The heavy one was accommodated by Idea cellular Ltd.and the other two hid their heads in Blue Star Ltd. Now, here begins the second part of our story. The first one who got placed from our batch was none other than our heavy buddy and we were glad, but at the same time the pain of missing our friend haunted us. Even a job and the so called workahollism did not affect our friendship, thanks to the free connection provided by Idea.
We were climbing the stairs very fast and the final count down was in progress, the propellant was already ignited by the great warrior, time. Even the thought of leaving the college and the golden tower was beyond our imagination but we accepted the unquestionable arrogance of time gradually.
Somebody was busy with settling the relationships while somebody was expecting a nod, painful faces tried to be content with their company. By the end of the semester, everybody was back with their projects but an invisible barrier was separating
everybody, the corridors stood silently watching all.
At last, one ceremony was left before pulling down the curtain, the clouds of July and the monsoon birds were singing the song ,

“It’s the time to depart
To find the ways apart,
Find the joyous terrain
Hide your tears in the rain

It’s the time to depart
To heal your broken hearts
All will end and will end well
Its time to say a mighty FAREWELL”
